Matt is the Search Marketing Manager for Grasshopper, a company who provide a virtual phone system for small businesses and entrepreneurs. He's responsible for SEO, PPC, and content and leads a growing team of marketers who help Grasshopper win the internet.

Prior to this role, Matt was a Senior SEO Specialist with an industry leading online lead generation company, BuyerZone. His primary roles at BuyerZone included managing the in-house link building campaign and managing the in-house link builder; managing the SEO strategy for a sister company and the two SEO Specialists working on that project; managing the Local search initiative for BuyerZone; spear-heading conversion rate optimization (CRO) efforts on SEO landing pages; building out and maintaining the department's daily and monthly reporting and trending projections.
How did it all begin? Matt graduated magna cum laude from Johnson & Wales University in 2008 with a degree in Web Management & E-Commerce. While in college Matt performed freelance work and spent a year and a half as a part-time intern with BuyerZone in their web development team and also worked within a design group for a global public relations company in Cambridge, MA (PSG/Weber Shandwick). In 2009 he transitioned from a web design and development focus to a search marketing focus and has remained in that area.
